I received a lot of inquires lately about Applying methods! Even though I already mentioned in the last post, I think there is a bit misunderstanding. For this reason, this time I'll take more about the methods, beside the countries list. You can find below KGSP 2016 forms and guide that you can download, it will give you a clearer idea, and it will show the last list of countries.

وصلتني اسألة وايد بخصوص طريقة التقديم! بالرغم اني ذكرتها بآخر تدوينة، بس الظاهر صار سوء فهم عشان جذي راح احاول اوضح أكثر. و راح أتكلم عن قائمة الدول. بتلقون تحت دليل للبعثة تقدرون تحملونه راح يعطيكم فكرة اوضح عن البعثة و أخر قائمة للدول.

• Things you have to know

1. The Scholarship is NOT for all the countries in the world.

2. Countries' list is changeable. This year you may find your country within the list next year you may not, and the opposite is correct too. (It's kind of stable).

3. So far, there are NO Undergraduate scholarship for GCC countries, and really few arabic countries got chosen for it (Maybe 3-4 only).

4. There is 2 ways to apply to this scholarship, either directly to one of the universities that NIIED had chosen or to the Korean embassy in your country where you get to choose 3 university to apply for.

NIIED is the one that chose the method for each country and the number of scholars. For Example, they are the whom decided that Bahraini can apply via Embassy and only 1 person will be selected while Yemen they have to apply directly to the universities and they will choose 4 people. There are countries that have both of the options to choose from while others it's already been decided for them.

• Applying Directly to Universities

You can chose only one university to apply for.

1. Applying: You apply your documents electronically to the university that you want to study in. You can contact the international office in that university to assists you on that.

2. Interview: Some universities may contact you for phone interview, or missing documents.

3. 1st Selection: University may reply to you to inform you that you passed of rejected. Some universities don't and you have to wait until the second round to know.

4. 2nd Selection: NIIED will review the applications and will short cut the list for each country, and they will publish the list of successful applicants in their website + StudyInKorea website.

5. 3rd Selection (Final): You have to do medical examination and submit the result to NIIED. in this stage NIIED will eliminate people who have serious illness like HIV, etc or those whom didn't submit in time.

• Applying vis Korean Embassy

You can chose three universities to apply for.

1. Applying: You apply your hard copy of your documents to the Korean Embassy in your home country. (Ex: if you're Bahraini living in UAE, you have to apply to Korean Embassy in Bahrain).

2. 1st Interview: Embassy may contact you for personal or phone interview. (not all embassies do interview, it depends on the number of applicants)

3. 1st Selection: Embassy may reply to you to inform you that you passed of rejected. Some Embassies don't and you have to wait until the second round to know.

4. 2nd Selection: NIIED will review the applications and will short cut the list for each country, and they will publish the list of successful applicants in their website + StudyInKorea website.

5. 3rd Selection (Final): In this stage NIIED will eliminate people who have serious illness like HIV, etc or those whom didn't submit in time and people whom got rejected from all three universities.

6. 2nd Interview: Some universities may contact you for phone interview, or missing documents.

7. You have to get acceptance from one of the universities that you already chose and reply to NIIED with your final choice.

8. You have to do medical examination and submit the result to NIIED.

• ما يجب ان تعرفه

1. البعثة ليست لكل دول العالم

2. قائمة الدول شبه ثابتة بس ممكن تتغير, ممكن يختارون دولتك هالسنة يعطونها بعثة بس ما يختارونها السنة الي بعدها و العكس صحيح

3. لحد الآن مافي بعثات بكالريوس لدول الخليج بتاتاً و الدول العربية يمكن ٣-٤ دول بس

4. التقديم اما عن طريق مباشر لوحدة من الجامعات الي مختارينها NIIED او عن طريق السفارات الكورية

NIIED هي الي تختار طريقة التقديم و عدد الأشخاص لكل دولة. على سبيل المثال هم الي يقررون ان بعثة وحدة للبحرين و التقديم عن طريق السفارة و ان ٤ بعثات لليمن و التقديم عن طريق الجامعات مباشرة. و في دول عندهم خيار يختارون وحدة من الطريقتين مثلاً ٤ بعثات عن طريق التقديم للجامعات مباشرة و ٣ بعثات عن طريق السفارة. كل هذا NIIED هي الي تقرره ويختلف الشي من سنة لثانية.

• التقديم عن طريق الجامعات

بامكانك اختيار جامعة واحدة فقط لتقديم لها

1. التـقـديـــم: تقوم بتقديم المستندات للجامعة الي تبي تدرس فيها من خلال موقع التسجيل للجامعة. في كل جامعة في International office راح يساعدونك في هالشي.

2. المـقـــابـلـة: بعض الجامعات ممكن تتواصل معاكم لعمل مقابلة عن طريق الهاتف او تطلب منكم مستندات اضافية.

3. التصفيات الأولى: الجامعة ممكن ترد عليك انها قبلتك او رفضتك, بعض الجامعات ما يردون و لازم تنتظر التصفيات الثانية عشان تعرف.

4. التصفيات الثانية: NIIED بتراجع الطلبات و بتقلص العدد لكل دولة, و راح ينشرون قائمة الأشخاص المتأهلين على موقعهم و على موقع StudyInKorea.

5. التصفيات الثالثة (النهائية) : في هالمرحلة مطلوب منكم فحص طبي و تقدمون نتائجه لــ NIIED, راح يتم استبعاد الاشخاص الي عندهم امراض خطيرة و معدية مثل الايدز و الكبد الوبائي,الخ او الي ما يقدمون الفحص في المدة المطلوبة

• التقديم عن طريق السفارات الكورية

بامكانك اختيار ٣ جامعات لتقديم لها

1. التـقـديـــم: تقوم بتقديم المستندات مطبوعة للسفارة الكورية في بلدك. (مثال اذا كنت بحريني بس ساكن بالامارات لازم اتقدم في السفارة الكورية الي في البحرين)

2. المـقـــابـلـة الأولى: بعض السفارات ممكن يتواصل معاكم لعمل مقابلة شخصية او عن عن طريق الهاتف.

3. التصفيات الأولى: السفارة ممكن ترد عليك انها قبلتك او رفضتك, بعض السفارات ما يردون و لازم تنتظر التصفيات الثانية عشان تعرف.

4. التصفيات الثانية: NIIED بتراجع الطلبات و بتقلص العدد لكل دولة, و راح ينشرون قائمة الأشخاص المتأهلين على موقعهم و على موقع StudyInKorea.

5. التصفيات الثالثة (النهائية) : في راح يتم استبعاد الاشخاص الي عندهم امراض خطيرة و معدية مثل الايدز و الكبد الوبائي,الخ او الي ما يقدمون الفحص في المدة المطلوبة او الي ما حصلو قبول من ولا جامعة من الي اختاروهم

6. المقابلة الثانية: بعض الجامعات ممكن تتواصل معاكم لعمل مقابلة عن طريق الهاتف او تطلب منكم مستندات اضافية.

7. لازم اتحصل قبول من وحدة من الجامعات الي قدمت عليهم و اترد على NIIED بخيارك النهائيو يعني لو الثالث جامعات قبلوك لازم تختار وحدة منهم بس .

8. لازم اتسوي فحص طبي و اتقدم التحاليل و النتائج لـNIIED
